A Local authority is looking for an experienced Minute Taker to minute Child Protection conferences 

Please note: The successful applicant will need to have a current Enhanced CRB/DBS

Duties will include:

  • Issuing invitations for child protection conferences and keeping a record of apologies
  • Taking detailed minutes of child protection conferences
  • Processing minutes within agreed timescales
  • After a conference, ensuring that documentation is circulated to the appropriate people and filed in accordance with procedure
  • Providing administrative support to the chairs of the conferences
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the list of children subject to Child Protection Plan
  • Maintaining a closed file system
  • Liaising with members of the public, officers of the Council and representatives of external agencies
  • Assisting in maintaining the missing children database

Skills required include the ability to:  

  • Take complex minutes of meetings
  • Analyse and present complex information in a clear and concise format
  • Deal with sensitive issues
  • Draft and produce reports
  • Pay attention to detail
