Community Housing Officer - £14.51ph + holiday pay


This is a 2 month booking – with view to extend


We are looking for an experienced Community Housing Officer required to work for a Local Authority.

Duties will include (but not to be limited to):

  • Responding to enquiries by tenants, lessees or any other member of the public
  • Viewing void properties 
  • Drafting responses to enquiries made be MPs and Councillors
  • Carrying out investigations into complaints
  • Liaising with Tenant Participation Team
  • Co-ordinate scheduling to ensure delivery of RQP service by quarterly monitoring meetings
  • Writing own correspondence & reports
  • Preparing questionnaires for tenants
  • Speaking at public meetings
  • Ensuring the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are complied wit
  • Assisting the Community Housing Team Leader/Housing Manager with management of areas to which an Estate Manager is not allocated

 Skills required:

  • Excellent commutation skills both verbal & written
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to undertake home visits & advise tenants of Councils policy & procedures
  • Ability to draft letters, emails and other correspondence
  • Ability to attend meetings & speak at public events
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise & manage own workload

Must have full driving licence and use of a car at all times
